Read a nice quote today ... Rich and poor are first created in the mind. A poor man asks, "How much will it COST me?" A rich man asks, "How much will it MAKE me?" As soon as i read the quote, something happened. Not somethig new ... something which often happens to me .. inside me ... The entrepreneur , the business inside me starting a dialogue with the salaried me once again ... trying to convince him that he was on the wrong track ... Interesting they are ... both are a part of me ... yet they think so differently ... both have different priorities and different value systems ... sometimes its difficult to manage both of them ... One uses his brains and takes logical and somewhat selfish (or more specifically self-centred) decisions. Its concern is My Success, My wealth, My future, My comfort, My contribution to the world (mind you .. intentions are all good ... but the focus is me ) .... Its more spontaneous ... Other is more heart oriented ... considers feelin...

Frankly speaking ... I dont know ... I was bitten by the Blog Bug way bak in NITIE ... its pretty infectious ... Blogging was getting popular at NITIE in those days and i got to know about it from Nikhil ... and I started off a journey ... It has been a pleasurable journey ... with some very regular posts as well as some large breaks ... Off late .. I have wanted to blog but time and will-power were simply not enough ... And a question struck me ... Why do I blog ?? And franly speaking ... I dont know ... Why does blogging go down in the list of priorities in life ... my life at least ... why do other things supercede and blogging is what gets affected most ... why is that I have some 8-10 blogpost themes in my mind and I have made none ... why ? why ?? why ??? I will have to find out ... B'coz if i dont ... i will probably stop blogging ... I am not comfortable in doing something unless i believe in it ... Its not that I have been blogging for the past 2-3 years without any purp...

Long time ago ... We read in school books ... The basic needs of life are Food, Clothing and Shelter ... Round about the same time ... i also saw the movie starring Manoj Kumar.... 'Roti, Kapda aur Makaan' ... Just looking back at that paradigm and in perspective looking at my own life today (and that of several of my friends and colleauges.... ) ... there is a change .... Today ... The basic needs of life are Bread, Butter and Broadband :-)

Our knowledge of things and our viewpoint of issues is often dependant on what is popularly known and publicised. We think we have an opinion .. an independant opinion of our own on any particular issue .... How true is that ?? Often it is the media or the politicians of the world who feed our need for information which we feel is essential to make our opinions ... oblivious to the fact that our own opinions are so much governed by the info fed to us by the very media we are using to seek the info .... Commercially, product companies will try to publicise a perspective, a thought process conducive to publicity and sale of their product / service ... tell the world through 'trusted' media sources that your product / service is the hottestone today ... and it might just become so ...
