Think about it. The days you end up exhausted are rarely the days you were heads-down, building, solving, shipping.
It's the days you spent circling. Postponing. Half-starting. Scrolling through decisions you never made.
The idle time adds up.
The deferred conversation.
The hire you kept putting off.
The brainstorming that you postponed.
The pivot you knew was right but didn't call.
Leaders, founders, professionals; the fatigue you feel is not always burnout from overwork. Sometimes, it is the heavy weight of everything you didn't move forward on.

Before trying another productivity hack,
ask yourself a question and answer honestly.
"Am I tired because I did too much,
or because I kept running in place?
Am I running on the track or the treadmill?
The answer usually points you exactly to where the real work is waiting.
Leaders and Founders

Leaders get tired from unmade decisions.
Founders get tired from avoided realities.
In both cases, the exhaustion often comes from carrying something mentally for weeks that could have been addressed in a single conversation, a single decision, or a single act of courage.
That is why some people feel energized after a 14-hour day of meaningful progress, while others feel completely drained after an 8-hour day of running on a treadmill.
The body measures effort.
The mind measures progress.
