Valentine Day & Blood Donation – Interesting Combinations … The last time I donated blood ( October 27th 2004 ) was also the first time I donated blood. The experience was really a nice one. We had to fill up some form, get our hemoglobin checked and also a consultation with a doctor before actual donation. Well … to put things in perspective … before you read this post … you will have to go back to my previous post … bcoz this is but a continuation of the same (at least read the last 2 para for continuity sake :-) I was talking about getting Nostalgic after reading the title ‘To Do Or Not To Do ... And guess what … its about February 14th ( Valentine’s Day )… And guess what … Its not about Love nor about a girl friend … its about something else altogether …. Its about M&A … nope … not about Mergers and Acquisitions … but very much about MastisK and Arbit … and Me … and the two other significant others who had much to contribute to the greatest M&A in my life … :-)) … Nikhil (Baba) and Shubham (Jackal) … The Valentine Day had no great significance for me until 2004 … (that’s what everybody thought and I portrayed … but it was otherwise .. it...

I am being torn … pulled in several directions … all of them close to me and all of them significant and important … I am torn between the various demands of my life ... Professional life as well as Personal life and yes ... also to add to that … My Life ... Professional life has brought me away from my friends and family .. Away from my Personal Life … right now, life is seriously unbalanced … I am away from home ... hundreds of thousands of miles away ... Pulled away from the warm surroundings of homely India to the cold Alps of Switzerland ... It’s the professional life that has brought me here and it is demanding a lot of my time and attention ... Consulting has its own challenges ... Change Mgmt. Consulting takes it several levels higher ... Caught in this professional demand (and the Personal Life already unbalanced), I have not been unable to spend time with ME too ... Yes… I have neglected and ignored my dreams, my aspirations, my biz plans… even my brain'chil...

Yes ... thats what is happening in my life ... AGAIN ... Google before Gargle I am back to those times when I was in NITIE ... forever logged on to the campus Network ... my desktop computer (nick named as C Cube or C3 or simply Dabba ) was ON ... 24 by 7 ... I guess the dabba was switched Off .. or more precisely Shut Down about 8 to 10 times in the span of 12 to 15 months it spent in NITIE ... I was forever logged on ... onto the netwrok and onto the Net ... Google was the home page and GMail became the default email service ... those were the days when early in the morning (or even late in the morning after sleeping in the early hours of morning after late night loooooong discussions) I used to get up ... open my eyes and google before even going to the washroom or brushing my teeth .... Those were the days of google before gargle ... After a break of almost a year .... I am back to the same old days ... I am now in Switzerland .. away from home ... living in a single room .....

The Concept behind shoOOonya Many people have often wondered, some even asked me … What the hell is the meaning behind having a name and an identity like …shoOOonya… Why on earth something like zero … and that too with a weird spelling structure and the numerous dots around it and the mixture of small and capital alphabets ….
